Fun stay near Moab
Even though it was in an RV park, it didn't feel like it, as the interior was very-well furnished and decorated and felt more like a home. Also, the abandoned ghost town only a few minutes away was a lot of fun too!
Very nicely decorated home with comfortable furniture and beds. Everything you need for a home away from home.
Great home away from home!
My teenage son and I loved our three-night stay at this perfectly appointed home away from home! After a delicious dinner in Green River, 25 minutes away, we stocked up on groceries in that town, and never paid for a meal until after we checked out! (highly recommended, as long as you don't mind making your meals, since nothing is close, and no food/services at the National Parks anyways.) Very comfortable beds, great setup. We never even turned on the TV! As others have shared, we also highly recommend seeing the ancient rock art up the road, and checking out the ghost town in Thompson Springs and further up the road in Sego Springs. Loved this place, grateful for others' great reviews to convince us that this was the place for us too!
Great place, very clean and quiet.
This place was perfect for our family. It was so nice to come back to hot showers and comfy beds after long days of hiking. It's about 35 or 40 minutes from Moab, but because we stayed here, we discovered some new trails further north of Moab, that we wouldn't have found otherwise. Our kids loved the Dinosaur Stomping Grounds, and the trail to that is only about 8 or 9 miles south of I-70, so much closer to this house than to Moab. The Sego Canyon Native American rock art is amazing, and it's only a few minutes from this house.
This place had everything we needed, including wi-fi. Plenty of dishes and pots/pans in the kitchen, and lots of towels in the bathrooms. The RV park where this house is located is quiet and clean. We weren't there during the daytime, but we never heard anyone making noise at night. This place is an excellent value in the Moab area, and we would stay here again.
So much more than a mobile home!
Despite the fact that this is listed as a mobile home, it is hard to tell that is what it is. Everything looks brand new, amazing amenities, and super comfortable beds and couches.
David was so easy to work with, and was helpful with some issues I had with the website when making the reservation.
He also let us know about the Indian writing just up the road from the house, and I'm so glad he told us, as there were no signs about it otherwise.
We were scheduled to stay there two nights, but got caught in a blizzard and had to cancel one night. We were sorry that our schedule didn't allow us to stay the second night, as it felt like we were at home!
Such great location too! Short drive down to Moab. I looked at a few places to stay closer to Moab, and they were so much more expensive, while not having as much room or having as many amenities.
If you want to go to Arches, you're much better off staying in Thompson!
The best ever.
Everything was clean and it felt like home.
Perfectly kept accomodations in a peaceful area. Fantastic value for people who know their way around Moab. Unbeatable starting point for exploring Moab North/Arches, major areas of the San Rafael Swell, the Book Cliffs, and it even works great for Colorado National Monument. Shopping available in Moab and Fruita. Shell gas with good prices around the corner. Already booked my next visit!
he Ranch House is spacious and clean. Tastefully decorated in a western theme. Beds are very comfortable. Washer and dryer are the best I've used. Plenty of hot water. Heat works fine...just enough to take the chill out in the morning and the home is so well-insulated there was no need for us to use it for the rest of the day. The owner is thoughtful...provides a well-stocked kitchen.
The park is clean and quiet. Management is friendly, accessible and accommodating. Not intrusive. The area is REALLY fascinating.
Due to the remoteness of the area you will need to travel to Green River or Moab to shop for groceries. Both are short and scenic drives. For corporate America you will need to venture further to Grand Junction, CO...a lovely place and a pleasant drive. If you want a great haircut at a fantastic price, head over to the Cut and Curl in Green River and see Becca on Wednesdays...walk-ins are welcome.
Wi-Fi worked really good 28 out of the 30 days we stayed. The 2 days it went down management resolved the issue in LESS than 24 hours. Cable is limited, so if interested, have a back-up plan...a few DVD's, a deck of cards and a couple of board games and you'll be just fine.
I would recommend and would definitely stay again.
Nice and clean. Comfortable and welcoming
A great place to come back to after a day of exploring the desert.
Well worth the short (30 min) drive from Moab
Only dislike was the occasional train but still worth it for the overall quietness. House was clean and everything worked great. Will likely stay there again.
