Quiet Time !! 30 Minutes North Of Moab
30 minutes north of Busy Moab. No clubs here ! , no bumper to bumper traffic. Night life here consist of a campfire and the Milky Way galaxy above your head. Heavy traffic is the heard of Antelope that crosses through this ghost town from time to time. The house is near the Book Cliffs , where there is a herd of buffalo and hundreds of miles of unspoiled beauty. ATV riding is phenomenal, myself and 7 others rode from the front door to Arizona,,,,,,,,,,,,,504 miles one way !!!!!!! John Wayne spent a lot of time in this immediate area and the movie Thelma and Lousie was filmed on location here in Thompson. The Shell Station by the interstate is open 24/7 and sells everything from milk ,eggs , and bacon to fresh pizza .

Everything we needed
Great, clean accommodations- wish it were a bit closer to Moab so we could have seen even more of the exciting area. Loved our hikes through Arches, off road Coyote Land Tour, and hike through Canyonlands.
Very clean, spacious, well maintained. Very courteous staff. Easy to find. Easy drive to Arches and Canyonlands.
Wonderful base for exploring Moab area
We stayed here for about a week while we explored Arches, Canyonlands, Grand Escalante, Sego Canyon petroglyphs, etc. It was nice to have a quiet place away from town to use as a base for side trips.
The cabin itself is modern, spacious, and has everything you need for a long stay. It was the most well-stocked place we've ever rented, very appreciated. The bed was very comfortable. It was only the two of us, but there were two other bedrooms, so I imagine this would be great for large groups also.
It was also very quiet, even though part of an RV park, a great place to get away from it all.
The cabin even has a sparse grass lawn so our little dog could walk outside without getting sand burrs in her feet or curls, nice for kids, too.
Tha Park management was very responsive. Altogether a pleasant experience that will be the one we will measure future rentals against.
Home Away From Home
We were quite surprised when we opened the door to the property! Everything was spotless. Regular sized washer/dryer in laundry room. Large kitchen table complete with placemats. Full sized refrigerator/freezer. Full sized stove/oven. Bright sunny atmosphere. Whole house dotted with adorable SW designs. Bedrooms all had big windows with blinds. Carpeting was soft on bare feet. Both bathrooms and kitchen were stocked with extra linens. Bedrooms had extra blankets AC/heater worked with thermostat and worked well. Swing on porch. Rocking chairs for watching sunrise. BBQ grill. Trees! TV reception! All in all we had a wonderful time and would recommend to anyone coming to Utah to play or just relax!
Great Location near Arches and away from over-crowded Moab
We enjoyed staying in the Bonana House. It was better than we expected it to be, well furnished and stocked with supplies. Better price and better experience than busy Moab. We would definitely stay here again. If you come, don't miss the petroglyphs/pictographs 3 miles away in Sego Canyon.
We loved this place. The fact that it is away from the Moab crowds, makes this place a great retreat after a long day of dealing with long lines and city noise. We stayed at the Bonanza House and had enough room to accommodate our group of 11: six children and five adults. The staff was very helpful and friendly; the place was very clean and had everything we needed to prepare our meals. I would highly recommend this place if you have a big group and need a great place to relax and unwind after long days of adventures.
Everything as described. Beautiful location with so many fun adventures close by. Park is quiet, relaxed, friendly, informative. Excellent choice.
Quiet retreat - just as advertised
We had a great time at the Bonanza House. We were there over President's Day weekend and it was a great place to relax after long days of hiking. It was clean and comfortable. The grill under the covered patio was a great touch, and we appreciated being able to grill up some burgers after a day in Arches National Park. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen had all we needed. We would definitely stay here again.
outstanding location, well appointed, clean, outstanding property maintenance staff and manager
Just exactly what it says, quiet time! we rented this three bedroom two bath modular property in Thompson Springs for three days and nights. We and our three furry family members were very comfortable in this clean and well appointed property. It has everything you would need to cook and do laundry as well as great central air and heat, there are also ceiling fans in the bedrooms. There were plenty of linens and enough towels for six people if needed. there were also extra cozy blankets for kicking back in the recliner or laying on the couch and watching a movie. Dave the property manager was very kind and exceptionally helpful, answering any and all questions that we had as well as letting us know that he was available anytime we needed anything. We had a small issue with the oven and called Dave right away and he said that the maintenance man Joe would be right over. It did not take Joe five minutes to arrive and he had our issue sorted out in no time being very friendly and professional and also letting us know that if we needed anything else he was available anytime as well. We have stayed in five star resorts before and have never gotten that prompt or friendly of service, it made the small oven issue not worth mentioning but the great service something to rave about. Also we are very grateful to Walt the owner, for allowing us and our furry family members to rent such a great property in such a convenient location. Staying here you are withing short driving distances to many outstanding parks and outdoor activities. This property is just down the road from sego canyon where you can see the Indian petroglyphs, small sections of an old ghost town and also access some great hiking with your pooches if you have them. Moab, arches national park and canyonland national park are also just a short drive away. And just like it says, its quiet, quiet, quiet....
Wonderful and relaxing home
The home was perfect for are family gathering. We all enjoyed our stay. 30 minutes from the National Arches and Moab.
This small town was a great retreat after a busy day. It’s a very quite area. Found it interesting reading up on Thompson Springs history.
The office manager was very accommodating during our stay. And would consider staying again in future.
